BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN COLLEGE AND CAREER
ENG 232 - World Literature II
Among one of the final projects created in my last semester at UNLV, this video captivates the essence of how far I’ve come in combining collegiate and career.
In a video essay covering environmental storytelling in video games, showcased is the culmination of my effective presentation and research skills synthesized with fine-tuned content creation capabilities.
COM 317 - Organization Communication
In this final project presentation, I take my understanding of how organizations communicate not only internally but how their influence affects the external world around them and apply it to one of my favorite video games of all time.
This video features a positive shift in visual presentation, with tweaks & considerations to lighting, framing, and more robust editing more present than in the older videos below.
ENG 401A - Advanced Composition
In the Digital Genre Remix project, I narrow in on how video games have affected individuals’ personal and professional backgrounds, translating my essays into an entertaining visual experience that goes beyond simple collegiate presentation.
This project can be see as the halfway milestone towards finding a balance between entertaining styles seen in typical YouTube video essays and substantiated educational content & information dissemination.
ENG 479 - Contemporary Media Studies
This video response in the seventh week of my ENG 479 course developed my ability to critically reflect on media and relate it to real world themes and issues.
I took LOVE, DEATH, AND ROBOTS’ season 1 episode Zima Blue and began my exploration in bridging of visual media and academic research into an entertaining medium whilst retaining educational value.
COM 211 - Introduction to Rhetorical Research
Serving as an introduction to my COM 211 instructor and peers, this was one of the earlier projects that began my steps towards refining my personal, collegiate, and career demeanor.
From body language, vocal inflection and delivery to framing and visual cohesion, the progression of my tangible skills is polarizing between the two, showing great strides in almost every aspect.
REBEL STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS (RSOs)
Nevada Esports Education League
In support of the Nevada Esports Education League (NEEL) nonprofit organization’s UNLV RSO, I recently developed a promotional video utilizing the skills garnered from my collegiate courses to deliver an entertaining yet informative content piece in support of a local festival supporting independent video game developers, vendors, and the local esports community.
Rebel Gaming
Similarly to NEEL, I created a quirky content piece for UNLV’s resident video game club Rebel Gaming in support of one of their first in-person events for the Fall 2024 semester.
